Some original artworks of M. C. Escher, displayed at the Art&Science Museum

One of his famous tessellations, from bird to fish transition. The most striking thing in Escher's work is the continuity.

This kept me standing for a while. The shape birds and flying fishes make does slightly resembles a Möbius string. Taking into consideration that the rivals that create infinity clash at some point.

Lovely rivals.

Very famous self-portrait reflecting from a mirror sphere.

This is simply beautiful. I adore this. The infinity bond. But, does it exist?

The hardworking ants. Can you imagine the life of an ant who lives on a Möbius string? Infinite working...

Some Emblemata of MC Escher's, displayed in the Art&Science Museum Singapore

Some of original emblemata of M. C.  Escher, displayed at the Art & Science Museum, the Journey to Infinity exhibition.

M. C. Escher's self portrait.

"Those who grew up in the torment bite, bites. Painfully scorched in the sad dry earth, how can I be detested for my spite when I inflict pain?"
"Beat me, until the destruction, beat!"
"Inwardly, I am hard and cold, there is no glow or fire in me, but if I am struck by fate, the sparks fly everywhere."

It is beautiful, it is dark, it tells the things that I can't tell. Struggle, fight, victory, sweet happiness or not...

One is from the center of our Milky Way Galaxy, other is from our Home.

When my friend sent me a beautiful beach photo, with the idea of making me jealous in his mind, the shapes of clouds caught my attention. How amazing it was they very much look like M16, the Eagle Nebula, which is an interstellar cloud. The one at home is mostly made of water which is composed of two hydrogen and one oxygen atom whereas the one at the center of the Galaxy consists of molecular or atomic hydrogen (90 %), some helium (9 %) and heavy atoms. The reason why Earth clouds is not as glamorous as M16 is the radiation. The delicate sculptures of M16 is created by stellar radiation.

How to keep your sanity everyday?

From Meditations by Marcus Aurelius:

When you wake up in the morning, tell yourself: The people I deal with today will be meddling, ungrateful, arrogant, dishonest, jealous, and surly. They are like this because they can’t tell good from evil. But I have seen the beauty of good, and the ugliness of evil, and have recognized that the wrongdoer has a nature related to my own — not of the same blood or birth, but of the same mind, and possessing a share of the divine. And so none of them can hurt me. No one can implicate me in ugliness. Nor can I feel angry at my relative, or hate him. We were born to work together like feet, hands, and eyes, like the two rows of teeth, upper and lower. To obstruct each other is unnatural. To feel anger at someone, to turn your back on him: these are obstructions.

Molecular foundations of happiness

A great short read about the molecular foundations of happiness.
